Sarah Hernandez

Sarah began dancing at the age of four at The City Performing Arts Academy under the instruction of Broadway sensations, David Rosales and J.P. Christensen. During her 11
years there, she trained and competed in various styles of dance such as ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and hip hop. While attending several conventions and competitions
she won numerous awards, such as the Music Video Award at Hollywood Connection Dance Convention. She first started choreographing at the age of 16 and teaching at the age of 17. Currently, Sarah is a dance major at San Jose State University studying ballet, modern, jazz and choreography. While in college, she developed an interest in dance production. Under the supervision of Professor Heather Cooper, a choreographer, lighting designer and stage manager, she has been training to become a stage manager. Also, she is a second year member of her university’s dance team, the Sirens of Sparta. If you attend a basketball game on campus, you might see her performing on the court and cheering her team on! Now that she is with Dance Theatre International, she is excited to develop her artistic abilities in producing, teaching and choreographing.
